Hi,I have a Hymer B680 A class left hand drive, the canopy is 5 mtrs long and the height from ground to bottom of canopy is 2.600 mtr, will this Awning fit our Motorhome,We are new to this and want to get it right ,
Hello Mr. Beecham. Many thanks for your e-mail and enquiry.
This is a tricky one, as you’re right on the extremities of what you have to fit it to. If the Canopy on your vehicle is 5 metres, the actual awning rail within it will be very slightly smaller. This may cause some ‘overhang’ at the far ends. Also, this will only be suitable, if your vehicle has a perfectly flat side on which to fit it. If the side of the vehicle has undulations, curvatures or door recesses it may not fit flat to the wall and cause ‘bagginess.’ The height will be OK, as that Awning goes up to 2.65m. Also remember that due to the THULE Canopy, the top corners of the awning will leave a gap as deep as the canopy itself. As long as all this is taken into account and it’s suitable, this will be fine.
