The Thetford Porta Potti 165 is a portable Flushable chemical toilet which is ideal for camping holidays, caravans, motorhomes and Campervans. The Porta Potti 165 is a large chemical toilet within the Thetford range with a natural seating height and a high capacity waste-holding tank.

The 165 toilet comes with a bellows pump which requires a little more effort than the piston pump, so may be more difficult to use eg elderly person,  but will be more than adequate for family camping.

The Thetford porta potti toilets come in two parts,  the top tank which houses the fresh water tank, seat and cover and the bottom tank which houses the waste tank.

In terms of emptying the toilet which is probably the worst job on the campsite, it isn't as bad as you think. Simply separate the two sections of the toilet via the lever at the back of the toilet. Take the waste tank to the toilet waste station on the campsite. Turn the pour out spout and remove the end cap. Press and hold the vent button while the pouring spout is pointing downwards while emptying the waster tank.

We would recommend either Thetford Blue or Green for the bottom tank waste, and a Thetford pink rinse for the top tank, which are not included.
